The story of Josep Masachs begins in 1920, when Josep Masachs Llorach crafted his first wines in Vilafranca del Penedès, intended only for family and friends. His son, Josep Masachs Juvé, carried that passion forward, creating the first labeled cava in the 1950s. Over time, the family expanded their vineyards and refined their methods, always keeping the link to tradition while embracing modern winemaking. Today, guided by the fourth generation, the estate continues to honor its heritage while producing expressive cavas and wines that reflect both the history and the terroir of Penedès.

Today, that spirit lives on through Vins del Terme, another division of the family estate; guided by the belief that “if you want different results, you have to try different approaches,” the family has embraced a bold and modern vision while remaining rooted in tradition. Across 30 hectares of vineyards, they produce still and sparkling wines that speak with a distinctly modern voice while honoring their roots.
